A Day in the Life of Jesus	The series is about A Day in the Life of Jesus. It focuses on encounters that Jesus had with key people in his ministry journey. The message is called Touchable. We want to be people who are not removed and uncaring about the problems and difficulties that others have. The tragic event for the Bluffton baseball team was shared. How does Rom 8:28 relate to tragedies? And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. NIV How can we share this truth with others?
A Day in the Life of Jesus -“Touchable” While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. Luke 5:12 NIV “We did not dare to breathe a prayer or give our anguish scope. Something was dead in each of us and what was dead was hope.” Oscar Wilde	What kind of disease is leprosy? What do you know about this disease? It's terribly contagious. It impacts 1 to 2 Million people in our day. We don't know many lepers in our day. They tend to exist in more undeveloped societies. How would a leper feel? Who are the people in our society who feel like lepers? 40 Million people of our day are infected with Aids. What can we do about this plague in our society?
Are You Approachable ? When he saw Jesus, he fell with his face to the ground and begged him, "Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean." Luke 5:12 NIV "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28 NIV Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” He said. “Be clean!” Luke 5:13 NIV	Jesus has been described as an approachable person. What do you think it means to be approachable? What convinces you that Jesus was approachable? What is the scriptural evidence for this?
Are You Approachable ? “Had he healed me with a word, I would have been thrilled. Had he cured me with a prayer, I would have rejoiced. But he touched me.” Just Like Jesus by Max Lucado He also predestined (us as believers) to be conformed to the likeness of his Son. Romans 8:29 NIV	Are You approachable? Do people see you as someone to fear or do they see you as someone who cares? In the message, we were told that the goal of a believer's life is to become more like Jesus. What does having to be right say about us? What does getting upset if we don't get our way tell us? What does leading through force and intimidation say?
Who Are Your Untouchables? In a contagious world, we learn to keep our distance. If we get too close to those who are suffering we might get infected with their pain. It may not be convenient or comfortable. But only when you get close enough to catch their hurt will they be close enough to catch your love. John Ortberg	Read the John Ortberg statement. Do you agree with this statement? Who are the untouchables in your life? Are there people that you shy away from? Are there people that you have difficulty relating to?
Who Are Your Untouchables? The Lord is close to the brokenhearted. He rescues those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18 NIV I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite. Isaiah 57:15 NIV	There are a number of statements in Scripture that indicate God is very near to the broken-hearted. Read a few of these passages. What do these passages tell us about God's concern for the hurting ones? Is there anything else that convinces you that God cares about the untouchables of life?
Who Are Your Untouchables? And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. Hebrews 11:6 NIV	We've indicated that God cares about our pain and problems. Why Doesn't God intervene in our lives and remove all of them?
